Five Main Attractions of Adygea:
- Lago-Naki Plateau — a high-altitude plateau at about 2000 meters with endless alpine meadows, blooming rhododendrons, and karst caves. In clear weather, Mount Oshten, Fisht, and other three-thousanders are visible from here. In summer, herds of horses graze here, and snow lies in the lowlands until the middle of the season.
- Rufabgo Stream Waterfalls — a cascade of sixteen waterfalls in a gorge near the Kamennomostsky settlement. The most famous are “Shum,” “Maiden’s Braid,” “Cup of Love,” and “Heart of Rufabgo.” Equipped trails and suspension bridges lead to the waterfalls.
- Khadzhokh Gorge — a narrow stone corridor where the Belaya River roars through sheer cliffs. An equipped observation platform allows you to safely watch the raging stream from above.
- Dolmens of Adygea — ancient megalithic structures whose age exceeds 4000 years. The most famous and well-preserved is the Guzeripl Dolmen, one of the largest in the Western Caucasus. The origin and purpose of dolmens still cause debate among scientists.
- Guzeripl — a cozy mountain village on the border with the Caucasus Biosphere Reserve. Here you can find the reserve museum, an observation deck with a view of Mount Tybga, and a Jurassic Park with dinosaur figures under the open sky.
